The Sales and Operations Planning Manager is an integral part of the Bona’s business strategy. The position is responsible for managing the company's Sales and Operations planning process, which involves creating and executing plans that optimize the production, inventory, and distribution of goods and services, in order to meet financial goals. The manager will work closely with the Executive team, Finance, Sales, Product Management, and Operations departments to ensure that the company's Sales and Operations plans align with customer demand and are executed in a cost-effective manner. Moreover, as the S&OP process owner it is included to act as an internal catalyst to identify gaps in planning processes, logistic setups etc. and to work closely with responsible teams to close the gaps. This is a central position where you sometimes need to challenge the organization. You are reporting to the Global COO and the position is based either at Bona HQ in Malmö or at one of our two Distribution Centers in Limburg, Germany or Monroe, NC, USA.
Your responsibility includes, but is not limited to:
- Develop and implement Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) strategies to ensure alignment between demand, supply, and financial plans.
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop and maintain integrated business plans.
- Monitor and analyze current and historical market trends and customer demand patterns.
- Analyze and provide insights on supply and demand constraints, potential risks and opportunities, and inventory optimization.
- Prepare and present reports, forecasts, and recommendations to management.
- Identify areas for process improvement and develop solutions to strengthen S&OP processes.
- Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor and report on performance metrics and KPIs.
- Develop and maintain S&OP best practices and policies.
We are looking for a candidate with a solid planning background. You have at least 5+ years experience working with Supply Chain Management, S&OP, forecasting and/or inventory management, together with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related fields. Moreover, the successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of operational and financial processes. A requirement will be extensive experience with ERP systems, where SAP is a merit. You are fluent in English and are on expert level in Excel.
